In response to the COVID -19 pandemic, Srujanavani has resolved to support
the daily and migrant laborer households with the Rs500/- worth groceries. We have been able to
reach out to 100 families spread across 5 villages of Madugula Mandal. The donation drive was conducted at the Skill Development Centre to cater to the beneficiaries of Verivilli Agraharam villages. Madugula SI, Shri Rama Rao Garu has generously accepted to participate in the distribution activity and spoke on the importance of practicing social distancing and hygiene to be followed during this crisis times. Similarly, in other villages, the activity was led by Srujanavani scholars who found the opportunity to contribute by identifying the real needy and deserving.
Heart-wrenching stories of people looking out for help and relief on their faces when supported are some of the experiences we experienced during this drive. There still exists a huge unmet need. Its time we unify to awaken the brotherhood and support our fellow brethren.
