Technical courses are one of the much sought
after courses, particularly for students from economically backward households.
As an entry into a good government polytechnic would be a gateway for a better
economic future. But the competition for entry into these prestigious
institutes is highly contested. Rural students are particularly at a
disadvantage due to a lack of coaching infrastructure. Therefore, Srujanavani
provides the coaching facilities to all the students who are willing to be a
part of this exam.
As part of this initiative, applications are
sought from the students for a month-long training. Nearly 600 students took
the exam, the first level of screening. From this 80 students are identified
and they have been given rigorous training and prepared them for the PolyCET
Entrance Exam. 3 Faculty members have rendered their services to train the
students in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry. During the month-long process, the
students we exposed to 25 chapter-wise tests and 5 Grand tests.
By the end of the process, around 38 students
made it to the Polytechnics. While 28 of the students made it to courses at
Government Polytechnics, the rest 10 candidates made it to the Private
Polytechnics in the State. Overall this year’s performance of the students has
been much better than the last year.
